Lauren Cairns, PhD
Senior Scientist
Dr. Lauren Cairns is a Senior Scientist at CV6 Therapeutics (NI) Ltd. with experience in cancer biology, translational research, and the development of combination-based therapeutic strategies. At CV6, she contributes to preclinical research across the company’s pipeline, supporting drug mechanism studies, biomarker discovery, and the evaluation of response and resistance to emerging therapeutic approaches.
Dr. Cairns has particular expertise in compound screening, cancer model systems, assay development, and the study of treatment response in both solid and haematological malignancies. She also contributes to the supervision of junior scientists and, as a member of the Laboratory Quality Team, supports the continuous improvement of the laboratory’s Quality Management System and the maintenance of data integrity and traceability.
Dr. Cairns was awarded a BSc in Human Biology and a PhD in Cancer Medicine from Queen’s University Belfast.
