Declan Doherty, PhD
Senior Scientist
Dr. Declan Doherty is a Senior Scientist at CV6 Therapeutics (NI) Ltd. with extensive research experience across academic and industry laboratory environments. At CV6, he contributes to preclinical research across the company’s pipeline, supporting biomarker discovery and experimental studies focused on the immune signalling effects of DNA uracilation and DNA damage in cancer cells.
Dr. Doherty has expertise in immunology, cell signalling, molecular biology, and translational laboratory models, with broader experience spanning cancer biology and related biomedical research. He also contributes to the supervision of junior scientists and, as a member of the Laboratory Quality Team, supports the continuous improvement of the laboratory’s Quality Management System and the maintenance of quality, accuracy, and scientific rigour across laboratory activities.
Dr. Doherty was awarded a BSc, MRes, and PhD in Biomedical Science from Ulster University.
