CV6 is extending the Genomic Uracil Stress Response (GUSR) platform beyond cancer. As in our oncology program, CV6-1271 targets uracil-DNA metabolism.
Like 5-FU in cancer, methotrexate is the cornerstone of rheumatoid arthritis care, and around half of patients respond inadequately to it. Both drugs act on nucleotide metabolism, the biology our platform targets.

CV6-1271 is our lead preclinical candidate for inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis.
In preclinical arthritis models, CV6-1271 showed activity on its own and strengthened the response to methotrexate, with no added toxicity. These results support its advance toward clinical evaluation.
