CV6 Therapeutics has been named a finalist in two categories at the 2026 Belfast Chamber Business Awards: the Business Innovation Award and Team of the Year Award.

Now in their eleventh year and delivered in partnership with Bank of Ireland, the awards recognise the innovation, resilience and ambition of the companies and individuals contributing to Belfast’s economic success.
The Business Innovation Award, sponsored by Kingsbridge Healthcare Group, recognises businesses using innovative products, processes or technologies to create meaningful advances for their organisations or end users.
CV6 was selected for its work developing CV6-168, a first in class investigational medicine designed to help one of the world’s most widely used cancer treatments work better. Developed in Belfast, CV6-168 is now being evaluated in a first in human clinical trial involving patients at cancer centres in Belfast and across the UK.
The Team of the Year Award, sponsored by Cathedral Quarter Business Improvement District, recognises organisations that can demonstrate how teamwork has contributed directly to their success.
CV6’s team brings together scientists in Belfast, clinical investigators across the UK, an international Board and scientific and medical advisers with experience spanning oncology, drug development, biotechnology, finance and company building. The company has also attracted significant international investment while retaining its scientific and operational centre in Belfast.
Following the initial judging process, CV6 Founder and CEO Dr Robert D. Ladner and Chairman Richard A. Milliken represented the company at separate in-person interviews for the two categories at Bank of Ireland in Belfast. They presented the story behind CV6’s scientific innovation and the team responsible for moving that work from the laboratory into clinical development.
“For CV6, these two nominations are closely connected,” said Dr Ladner. “Innovation of this kind is only possible because of the people behind it. We are proud of the team we have built in Belfast and of the wider network of scientists, clinicians, advisers, directors and supporters who have helped bring this work into patients.”
The winners will be announced at the Belfast Chamber Business Awards gala on Friday, 16 October 2026, at ICC Belfast.
CV6 thanks Belfast Chamber, awards partner Bank of Ireland, Kingsbridge Healthcare Group and Cathedral Quarter BID for recognising both the company’s work and the team behind it.
We looked for a place where the science would have the strongest opportunity to become a medicine. More than a decade later, as we are advancing through our Phase 1a trial, I remain convinced that we made the right choice.
